Andy is the Chief Analytics Officer at Green Street, and is responsible for driving the company’s long-term roadmap and vision around market analytics, forecasting, and data science. In addition, he manages Green Street third-party data relationships and strategic partnerships for the research team. Andy is passionate about turning raw data into actionable intelligence, and the solutions his teams design and develop support the capital allocation decisions of institutional commercial real estate investors – in both the public and private markets.
During his tenure at Green Street, Andy has played a significant role in both research production and new product development. From 2005-2013, he led Green Street's research coverage of the Residential REITs – including apartments, student housing, manufactured home parks, and single-family rentals. From 2014-present, Andy launched and led Green Street's Data & Analytics division, which produces proprietary data, forecasts, and advanced valuation analytics across 20 different property sectors and all major markets in the United States and Europe.
As a leading real estate research analyst, Andy has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Barron's, Forbes, Grant's, and The Financial Times, among other industry leading publications. He is a lifetime research fellow and Advisory Board member of the Real Estate Research Institute (RERI), and is a full member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), and Pension Real Estate Association (PREA).
Prior to joining Green Street in 2005, Andy spent three years at PLX Systems working on valuation analytics for intellectual property. Andy is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, a Counselor of Real Estate (CRE®), and earned his B.S. and MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California.
